Solo drums. This is a very spontaneous session off the back of playing in The Dolebury Warren Quartet and I think it has turned out rather well.

I've been wanting to do this for years but the parameters have often not been right. I wanted to make a solo drums album free from my more formal lessons on the drum kit, playing in a supportive style, and so instead, perform the whole picture. As a result of lessons, I’m more critical of my solo drumming and rooted in less free music, but to me this piece really works. I also felt that a necessary approach was moving my kit into an unfamiliar formation. This helps me to be dogmatic as far as a performance with this process is concerned.

Also, this session had a strict time limit as my charger broke and so I had from 100% battery to perform, mix and release it before it died.
